October 14, 2011 - Founder/Master James U. Sy Jr. conducted the UNO-R High School Introductory Seminar on Arnis Fundamentals at the invitation of MAPEH Teacher Mary Grace Villasor-Geolingo, with the full support of the High School Department under Principal Sol P. Abellar, M.A. Ed., and Subject Area Chair - MAPEH Michael Ditchella, at the UNO-R High School Gym, University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R), Lizares St., Bacolod City. About 184 freshmen students coming from four sections attended the seminar, which totaled to 4 hours and was held as part of the department’s Physical Education classes.

October 10, 2011 - Founder/Master James U. Sy Jr. conducted the 1st OLPA Sports Arnis Seminar at the invitation of English and Filipino teacher Mrs. Ariane M. Ignacio in one of the classrooms of the Our Lady of Pillar Academy (OLPA), Brgy. Ma-ao, Bago City. The seminar was attended by 16 of the 21 students expected to represent the academy during the Area Meet Arnis Competition on October 13-15, 2011 at the La Consolacion School Isabela Negros Occidental, Inc. in the Municipality of Isabela.

Sy Jr. was among the Negros Occidental martial arts instructors who attended the organizational meeting and seminar conducted by 4 times world Sanshou champion and new Muay Association of the Philippines (MAP) Region 6 Director Rene Catalan of Sta. November 8-9, 2010 - Founder/Master James U. Sy Jr. conducted the Fundamentals of Conceptual Arnis Seminar at the invitation of Professional Medical Representative Elaine Louise Edulag of Getz Pharma (Phils.), Inc. and at the request of Dra. Deriada, and Iloilo Chapter Head Dr. Rey Mollenido of the Conceptual Martial Arts Society (CMAS), Inc. were the Resource Instructors for the mini seminar FMA in Action organized by Getz Pharma (Phils.), Inc. in cooperation with the Philippine College of Surgeons (PCS)-Panay Chapter for 45 doctors (orthopedics, obegyne, surgeons, EENT, internal medicine, family medicine, etc.) and their families at the Golden Salakot Hall, Hotel Del Rio, Gen. The CMAS Core discussed environmental sanitation, hygiene in all aspects of life, and stretching and breathing exercises from Tai Chi Chuan; World Health Organization (WHO) definition of total health and wellness and the Chinese concept of preserving health by striking a balance in the interplay of the Yin and Yang; and A(H1N1), proper way of washing the hands, and various health concerns respectively. At least 22 mothers were in attendance.
